Roots is a curated platform connecting artists with collectors around the world who are passionate about cultural expression and authentic creativity. We’re looking for original artwork that tells stories — and we’re here to make sure your voice reaches the right audience.
Getting Started
To sell your artwork on Roots, you or your representative must first complete an application form. This is the first step toward being featured on our platform and building your personal artist page.
- Minimum listing price for all artworks is $150.

Once submitted, our team will reach out to schedule a short virtual meeting to get to know you and your work. If accepted, further steps such as signing a contract, verifying shipping structure and cost, and providing bank information for payments will follow.
Artwork Approval & Platform Curation
We thoughtfully curate all submissions to ensure quality and fit. Not all artworks will be listed — we look for original pieces that reflect personal or cultural stories, crafted by the artists themselves.
AI-generated work, copied content or digital-only work is not permitted, and all submissions must be owned or legally authorized by the submitting artist or representative.
Roots reserves the right to use accepted artworks for promotional purposes, always with full credit to the artist.
Payments & Commission
- Roots takes a 35% commission on each sale, which includes platform use, Stripe payment fees, and administrative support.
- Artists receive 65% of the sale price, paid via Stripe Connect in USD to their designated bank account.
- Payouts are issued monthly, by the 5th business day, and only for orders successfully marked as Complete(received by the buyer).
Shipping & Handling
- The artist or representative is responsible for packaging and shipping the artwork directly to the buyer.
- Roots will provide a virtual debit card to cover the cost of shipping, based on agreed shipping methods and pricing.
- Every piece must be shipped with a signature from the original artist, ensuring authenticity.
- Roots will assist in verifying shipping quality standards and support you throughout the delivery process.
Your Artist Page
As part of your onboarding, Roots will create a dedicated page to showcase your work. This includes:
- A short artist biography
- A profile photo
- An Inspiration section with a photo gallery explaining the meaning and cultural context behind your work
- An art gallery of your pieces for visitors to purchase
All listings are managed by the Roots team, allowing you to focus on your creativity while we handle the logistics.
