We understand that art collectors and enthusiasts seek not only beauty and inspiration but also authenticity, transparency, and lasting value. Here’s everything you need to know about the validity and integrity of the art pieces available in our gallery.
One-of-a-Kind & Limited Editions
Each artwork listed as one-of-a-kind will be clearly labeled. We believe in full transparency — if a piece is a unique creation, you will know it before making your purchase.
For limited-edition prints, the edition number and total quantity are always stated. These prints are carefully numbered and signed by the artist to affirm their exclusivity.
Artist Signatures & Authentication
All artworks — whether originals or limited editions — are signed by the original artist. In the case of prints, each will include a print number and artist’s signature, certifying its authenticity and connection to the artist’s body of work.
Availability of Artworks
We collaborate closely with artists whose creative journeys may evolve over time. Because of this, availability is subject to change.
Artworks may be removed or reintroduced depending on the artist’s current projects, exhibition commitments, or decisions regarding exclusivity. We encourage collectors to act promptly if a piece resonates with them.
Auctions
At this time, art auctions are not yet available on our platform. However, this feature is in development and will be phased in soon to bring collectors exclusive access to rare or in-demand pieces. Stay tuned by subscribing to our newsletter.
Do all pieces come with a certificate of authenticity?
Originals and limited-edition prints are accompanied by a signed certificate of authenticity from the artist or their authorized representative.
Are the prints signed and numbered?
Yes. All limited-edition prints are hand-signed by the artist and numbered to reflect their place within the edition (e.g., 5/100).
Can I be sure a piece is truly one-of-a-kind?
If a work is a one-time-only piece, this will be explicitly stated on its product page, and it will not be reproduced or reissued.
What happens if a piece I loved disappears from the site?
Artworks are curated based on the artist’s ongoing work and career. Pieces may be temporarily or permanently removed at the artist’s request or due to exhibition schedules. Feel free to contact us at orders@roots.art if you’re looking for a specific work.
How are artworks authenticated?
Each piece is signed and comes with documentation. In special cases, we also provide a background on the artist and their body of work for collector reference.
Can I commission a custom piece directly from an artist?
We accept commission requests. Please get in touch with our team at orders@roots.art, and we’ll help match you with the right artist based on your preferences.
